PopCVs vs StylingCV: A Monthly Plan or One-Time Packs?

By PopCVs admin7 min read

StylingCV shows up often when Indian job seekers look for an AI resume builder. It has a Hindi version of its site and lists an office in Vadodara, Gujarat, alongside offices in the US, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Canada and Australia. Its About page says it was founded in 2014 to make resume building accessible across the Arab world, and it has grown into a global AI career platform since.

PopCVs is built for Indian applications from the start. Both tools use AI to build and tailor resumes, so the real differences are in scope and in how you pay. Every StylingCV detail below comes from its own pricing page, home page, About page and terms of use, checked from India in October 2026. Plans change, so check those pages before you buy.

Short answer

Choose StylingCV if you want an all-in-one job-search workspace with job discovery, an application tracker, many templates and multiple languages on a monthly plan. How StylingCV works

StylingCV calls itself an AI resume builder plus a job-search workspace. According to its home page:

  • You enter a job title or job link, and its AI agents draft a resume. You can also upload an existing resume.
  • You can tailor the resume to each job posting, keep a separate version per job, and add a cover letter tied to the job.
  • It checks your match against a job and runs an ATS readability check.
  • It helps you discover openings, and tracks applications on a Kanban board.
  • Downloads are in PDF and DOCX, in English and more than 15 other languages.
  • The home page says it never adds a skill without your confirmation.

StylingCV's pricing model

As of October 2026, the pricing page shown to us in India lists prices in US dollars:

  • Free: core AI builder features, a free ATS score, basic templates, and build and download.
  • Professional: $8.99 a month (shown reduced from $17.99), with a monthly allowance of AI credits, up to 5 resumes, unlimited downloads and 25 basic templates. The cover letter creator and job tracker aren't included.
  • Premium+: $15.49 a month (shown reduced from $30.99), with a larger AI credit allowance, up to 10 resumes, 58 templates, an advanced ATS score, the job tracker, the cover letter creator and a resume translator.

The pricing page lists cards, PayPal and Apple Pay as payment methods.

On renewal, read two pages. The pricing page headline says "No automatic renewals". The terms of use, in their Auto Renewal section, say a subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date, at least 24 hours ahead, with an email reminder before each renewal. StylingCV also has a help page on how to stop auto-renewal from your account. After you pay, open your subscription settings and check what you see there.

What StylingCV does well

  • Breadth. Job discovery, matching, tailoring, cover letters and an application tracker in one product. PopCVs doesn't do job search or tracking.
  • A usable free plan. By its pricing page, you can build, check and download a resume without paying.
  • Many languages and Word output. Useful if you also apply in the Gulf or need a DOCX file for a recruiter.
  • Template choice. Up to 58 templates on Premium+, against four at PopCVs.

If you want one tool for the whole search, including finding jobs and tracking where you applied, StylingCV is a reasonable choice.

Where a monthly plan can work against you

  • Searches are uneven. A final-year student might apply in an August burst and again in November. A professional on a 90-day notice period might apply to two roles a week. A monthly plan charges by the month whatever your pace.
  • Dollar pricing. Prices shown in US dollars depend on your card's foreign currency handling and the exchange rate on the day, so the amount on your statement can differ from what you saw.
  • Renewal admin. Whatever the plan, note the renewal date and cancel ahead if you don't want another month.

None of this makes a monthly plan a bad deal. If you will use the job search and tracker every week, it can be good value.

What PopCVs does differently

PopCVs does less, on purpose, and charges per action.

  1. One-time packs, no subscription. AI features use one-time credit packs paid in INR (UPI, cards or netbanking) or USD (cards or PayPal). Nothing renews, and credits don't expire while your account is active. New accounts get some free credits. Prices are on the pricing page.
  2. Free basics. Editing, PDF downloads and one ATS check every day are free.
  3. An ATS check you can act on. PopCVs scores your resume as built or imported in PopCVs (contact details, sections, bullets and keywords) out of 100, with a breakdown by category and a prioritised list of fixes. See what a good ATS score is.
  4. A job-match score. Paste a job description from Naukri, LinkedIn or a careers page to see which keywords you cover and which are missing.
  5. Tailoring with a truth check. Rewrites of your summary, skills and bullets use only what is already in your resume. Any new employer, title, date, school, degree, number or skill is flagged, and you approve each change. Each tailored version is saved against its job, with a cover letter if you want one.
  6. Built around Indian applications. Room for your CGPA or percentages, internships and projects, and job matching against the descriptions you see on Indian portals.
  7. Inside ChatGPT and Claude. PopCVs runs a remote MCP server, so you can connect it once and ask your assistant to check, tailor or export with the real PopCVs tools. See the MCP page, and our comparison with plain ChatGPT.

What PopCVs doesn't offer: job listings, an application tracker, designed or multi-column templates, photos or human writers. Its four templates are single-column with real, selectable text, built to parse cleanly; see the ATS-friendly resume template.

A worked example (illustrative)

Two job seekers, with illustrative names and details.

Farhan, a mechanical engineer applying in India and the Gulf. He wants job discovery, resumes in more than one language and a tracker for thirty applications across two countries. StylingCV's Premium+ fits him well for the months he is actively applying.

Divya, a B.Com graduate with two years in accounts and a 60-day notice period. She applies to a handful of roles a month in Pune and Bengaluru, finds them on Naukri herself, and wants each application tailored without the AI inventing GST or Tally experience she doesn't have. On PopCVs she builds and downloads her resume free, uses the daily ATS check, and spends credits only when she tailors for a specific job.

Quick verdict

  • Choose StylingCV if you want an all-in-one job-search workspace with job discovery, a tracker, many templates and multiple languages, and you are comfortable with a monthly plan in US dollars.
  • Choose PopCVs if you want to pay per action with no subscription, in rupees by UPI or in US dollars, keep a tailored version for every job with any fact the AI adds flagged before you accept it, and work from ChatGPT or Claude if you like.
  • Either way, check each resume against the job description before you apply.

PopCVs is built in India for job seekers everywhere, with Indian applications (CGPA, campus placements, notice periods) as its home ground. For the layout rules behind any good resume, read what an ATS-friendly resume is.
