Rezi and Teal come up in almost every list of AI resume builders. Both are polished, both have useful free tiers, and both help you match a resume to a job description. They are also global products, priced in US dollars. PopCVs does the same core job, matching and tailoring, but is built around Indian applications and charges per action, in INR or USD, with no subscription.
This comparison is meant to be fair. The Rezi details come from its pricing page and resume checker page; the Teal details come from its pricing page and home page. All were checked in October 2026 from India, and both showed prices in US dollars. Plans change, so check before you pay.

How Rezi works
Rezi is an AI resume builder. You start from scratch or upload your current resume, then use its AI writer and editor to draft and improve sections. Two features do most of the job-specific work:
- AI Keyword Targeting. Rezi's pricing FAQ says it scans the job description for important keywords and incorporates them into your resume.
- Rezi Score. Its resume checker reads an uploaded PDF or DOCX and scores it from 1 to 100 across content, format, optimisation, best practices and application readiness.
Rezi also offers cover and resignation letter writers, AI interview practice and a Chrome extension.
As of October 2026, the pricing page listed:
- Free: $0, with one resume, three PDF downloads, standard format templates and limited Rezi Score and Keyword Targeting.
- Pro: $29 a month, with unlimited resumes and downloads, all templates, the full score and keyword tools, and one expert resume review a month done by a person.
- Lifetime: $149 as a one-time payment, with the Pro features except the monthly expert review.
How Teal works
Teal is a job search workspace with a resume builder at its centre. Its home page leads with three things: AI resumes, a job tracker and a matching mode that compares your resume with a job description. A free Chrome extension lets you bookmark jobs from over 40 job boards into the tracker. Teal also has tools for cover letters, LinkedIn profile review and networking.
As of October 2026, the pricing page showed a free plan and Teal+:
- Free forever: unlimited resumes, unlimited job tracking, 10 templates, keyword matching for the top five keywords of a job and basic resume analysis.
- Teal+: $13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days or $79 every 90 days. It unlocks all the keywords from a job description, a match score, unlimited templates and unlimited AI summaries, bullets and cover letters.
Teal's FAQ says Teal+ is a recurring subscription you can cancel any time from account settings, with the cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing period.
What Rezi and Teal do well
- Generous free tiers. Teal's free plan includes unlimited resumes and unlimited job tracking, which is a lot for nothing. Rezi's free plan is enough to build and download one resume.
- They read your own file. Rezi's checker scores an uploaded PDF or Word file, so you can check a resume you made elsewhere.
- Teal organises the whole search. Saving jobs from many boards, tracking stages and keeping a tailored resume against each job is genuinely helpful when you are applying widely.
- Rezi's Lifetime plan. If you expect to job hunt again in future years, a one-time payment avoids a running subscription.
- Human review. Rezi Pro includes one expert review a month, which PopCVs does not offer.
Where they can fit an Indian job search less well
- Dollar pricing. Rezi Pro and Teal+ are priced in US dollars. On a fresher's budget, a recurring dollar charge adds up, and your bank may add a foreign transaction charge on top.
- Time-based billing. Rezi Pro is priced by the month and Teal+ by 7, 30 or 90 days, not by applications. A campus placement drive, a long wait for results, then another drive means paying through the waiting, or cancelling and restarting.
- Indian resume details are up to you. Neither pricing page mentions CGPA, percentages, notice period or campus placements. You can add them to any resume, but freshers whose resume is mostly education and internships benefit from a tool that expects them.
- Keywords you don't have. A tool that works job-description keywords into your resume is doing what you asked. It is still on you to remove any skill or tool you have never used, because an interviewer at a Bengaluru startup or a Pune MNC will ask about it.
What PopCVs does differently
- Built for Indian applications. CGPA and percentages, campus placements, notice period, internships and job descriptions as they read on Indian portals.
- Tailoring that only uses your facts. PopCVs rewrites your summary, skills and bullets toward a job using only what is already in your resume. A truth check flags any new employer, job title, date, school, degree, number or skill in the rewrite, and you approve every change before it is saved. Each tailored version is saved against its job.
- A job-match score. Paste a job description and see which of its keywords your resume covers and which are missing. This is a paid AI action.
- A free ATS check every day. It scores your resume as built or imported in PopCVs, out of 100, with a breakdown by category and a prioritised list of fixes. See what a good ATS score is.
- One-time packs, no subscription. AI actions use one-time credit packs paid in INR (UPI, cards or netbanking) or USD (cards or PayPal). Credits don't expire while your account is active, and new accounts get some free credits. Editing and PDF downloads are free. See the pricing page.
- Single-column PDFs. Four ATS-friendly templates with real, selectable text and no graphics or sidebars.
- Inside ChatGPT and Claude. Through the PopCVs remote MCP server, you connect once, sign in with OAuth and ask your assistant to tailor or export with the real PopCVs tools. Setup is on the MCP page.
What PopCVs doesn't do: no job tracker, no browser extension, no LinkedIn optimiser, no human review and no design-heavy templates. Its ATS check also doesn't test how an employer's system would read a designed PDF you made elsewhere; import it first and the check scores the imported resume.
A worked example (illustrative)
Meera, B.Tech (ECE), CGPA 8.1, applying for embedded software roles (illustrative name and numbers). She pastes a job description that asks for C, RTOS, CAN protocol and unit testing.
In a keyword-targeting builder, the missing keywords are easy to add. "CAN protocol" lands in her skills list, though she has only read about it. She has to catch that herself.
In PopCVs, the job match shows that C and unit testing are covered, RTOS appears only in her final-year project and CAN protocol is missing. The tailored version moves RTOS into her skills, rewords her project bullet around the FreeRTOS scheduler she actually built, and doesn't add CAN protocol; had a rewrite slipped it into her skills, the truth check would have flagged it as a skill her resume never mentions. A suggested line claiming "40% lower power use" is flagged as a new number, and she rejects it. She downloads a single-column PDF and keeps the version saved against the company.
Quick verdict
- Choose Teal if you apply widely and want a free job tracker, a Chrome extension and resume tailoring in one place, and you are fine with a dollar subscription for the full matching.
- Choose Rezi if you want a polished AI builder with a resume score, human review on Pro, or a one-time Lifetime plan in dollars.
- Choose PopCVs if you want tailoring that flags any skill or number you didn't give it, a product built around Indian applications, and one-time payments in INR or USD with no subscription.
