CV or resume: which do Indian employers want?
For most private-sector jobs in India, “CV” and “resume” mean the same thing: a one or two page summary of your experience, skills and education. When a posting asks for a CV, send the same ATS-friendly document you would call a resume.
A longer academic CV, with every publication and conference, is mainly for research and teaching roles. A biodata, with personal details like date of birth and family, is a different document and doesn't belong in a job application to most companies.
