Resume Worded, Kickresume and Enhancv are three different kinds of tool that often turn up in the same search. Resume Worded tells you what is wrong with the resume you already have. Kickresume and Enhancv help you build a resume that looks good. PopCVs does something narrower: it keeps one plain, single-column resume and tailors a saved copy of it for each job you apply to.
This comparison is meant to be fair. Every competitor detail below comes from that company's own pages, checked in October 2026 from India and linked in each section. Plans change, so check those pages before you pay.

Resume Worded's main product is Score My Resume. You upload your resume and get an overall score and a report on the checks it ran, such as impact, soft skills and word choice. Its help centre says the overall score weights some checks more than others, and a Pro help article says Pro adds unlimited reviews, 300 sample bullet points, templates, LinkedIn support and resume targeting to specific job descriptions. A separate LinkedIn Review scores your profile.
Pro is a subscription. Resume Worded's cancellation article says you can cancel from your account dashboard and keep Pro features until the original renewal date, and its payments article says payments go through Paddle, which accepts PayPal and major debit or credit cards. Its pricing page was down for scheduled maintenance when we checked in October 2026, so we haven't quoted a price; see resumeworded.com/pricing.
What it does well: honest, detailed feedback on writing quality, plus LinkedIn help. Its ATS guidance recommends standard section titles, standard fonts, no tables and single-column layouts, which is sound advice.
Kickresume: a template-led builder
Kickresume is a resume and cover letter builder built around design. As of October 2026, its pricing page listed Premium with 40+ resume templates, 40+ matching cover letter templates, all colours and typefaces, an AI Writer, an ATS Resume Checker, LinkedIn and PDF import, mobile apps and personal website templates. It says you can create and download a resume for free if you stick to the free customisation options, which include four free templates, and that Premium is free for students who can prove their status with ISIC, ITIC or UNiDAYS.
The page showed One Month, Three Months and One Year plans in US dollars, with a limited-time 20% discount running when we checked. Kickresume's terms say auto-renew is selected by default on monthly, quarterly and annual subscriptions, and you need to cancel before the end of the current term if you don't want to renew.
What it does well: lots of polished designs with matching cover letters, a free path for students, and a personal website if you want one.
Enhancv: a design-led builder with tailoring
Enhancv is a builder that pitches a balance between a design recruiters notice and a layout an ATS can read. Its pricing page lists a free plan valid for 7 days with all templates, Enhancv branding and up to 12 section items, and Pro plans billed monthly, quarterly or semiannually. When we checked from India in October 2026, the page showed Pro prices in rupees. Pro includes up to 300 resumes and cover letters, real-time content suggestions and an ATS check.
Its tailoring feature compares your resume with a pasted job ad and shows a match score and keyword suggestions. The same page lists resume translation (including Hindi), a job application tracker and a Chrome extension. Its FAQ says resumes download as PDF rather than Word, and that some templates use a columned layout where each section stays in one column, which Enhancv says keeps the reading order coherent. Enhancv's terms say you are charged automatically at the start of each billing period and must cancel from the Billing page before the next billing date.
What it does well: distinctive layouts and custom sections, a built-in tailoring score, and a pricing page that showed rupees when we checked.
What all three leave to you
These are good products. The gaps below are about fit for an Indian job search, not quality.
- Subscriptions run on time, not applications. Resume Worded Pro, Kickresume Premium and Enhancv Pro are all billed per period. A placement drive followed by weeks of waiting, or a slow search through a 90-day notice period, means paying through the quiet stretch or remembering to cancel.
- Feedback isn't a tailored copy. A score tells you what to fix. You still rewrite the resume for each job yourself and keep track of which version went where.
- Design is a trade-off. Columns, icons and colours help a resume stand out to a person. Every extra layout element is also one more thing a parser has to handle. Even Resume Worded's own guidance points to a single column.
- Indian resume details are up to you. None of the pages we checked mention CGPA, percentages, notice period or campus placements. You can add them anywhere; freshers whose resume is mostly education and internships benefit from a tool that expects them.
What PopCVs does differently
- One single-column resume, tailored per job. Your master resume stays as it is. For each job, PopCVs rewrites your summary, skills and bullets using only what is already in your resume, and saves that version against the job, with a cover letter if you want one.
- A truth check on every rewrite. Any new employer, job title, date, school, degree, number or skill in a rewrite is flagged, and you approve every change before it is saved.
- A job-match score. Paste a job description from Naukri, LinkedIn or a careers page and see which keywords you cover and which are missing. This is a paid AI action.
- A free ATS check every day. It scores your resume as built or imported in PopCVs, out of 100, with a category breakdown and a prioritised list of fixes. See what a good ATS score is.
- Plain templates on purpose. Four single-column templates with real, selectable text and no graphics or sidebars. Editing and PDF downloads are free.
- One-time packs, no subscription. AI actions use one-time credit packs paid in INR (UPI, cards or netbanking) or USD (cards or PayPal). Credits don't expire while your account is active, and new accounts get some free credits. See the pricing page.
- Inside ChatGPT and Claude. Connect the PopCVs MCP server once, sign in with OAuth and ask your assistant to tailor or export with the real PopCVs tools. Setup is on the MCP page.
What PopCVs doesn't do: no design-heavy templates, no LinkedIn optimiser, no job tracker, no browser extension and no human review. Its ATS check doesn't test how an employer's system would read a designed PDF made elsewhere; you import the resume and the check scores the imported version.
A worked example (illustrative)
Farhan, B.Com with 2 years in accounts payable, 30-day notice period (illustrative name and details). He applies for three roles: an AP executive at a Gurugram MNC, a GST analyst at a mid-size firm and a finance associate at a startup.
With a feedback tool, he learns his bullets lack impact and fixes them once. With a design-led builder, he ends up with a two-column resume he likes the look of. Both help, but he still sends the same resume to all three jobs.
In PopCVs, he imports his resume and fixes the issues from the free daily ATS check. The job match for the GST role shows that GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filing are in his experience bullets but not in his skills, and that "reconciliation" is missing. He did reconciliations every month, so he adds a line about them to his experience himself; then the tailored version moves all three up. A suggested bullet with "cut vendor payment delays by 35%" is flagged as a new number, so he rejects it. He ends up with three saved versions, one per company, each a single-column PDF.
Quick verdict
- Choose Resume Worded if you want detailed feedback on your writing and LinkedIn profile, and you are happy to rewrite the resume yourself.
- Choose Kickresume or Enhancv if design matters for your role and you want many polished templates, matching cover letters or, on Enhancv, translation and a built-in job tracker.
- Choose PopCVs if you want one clean single-column resume, a tailored and saved copy for each job, any fact the AI adds flagged before you accept it, and one-time payments in INR or USD with no subscription.
